The Driver
Alex Beare is a competitive kart racer based in the Greater Houston area, currently campaigning in the LO206 Senior class in the Greater Houston Race Series (GHRS). With 2.5 years of real-world kart racing and 5 years of sim racing sharpening his craft, Alex brings a data-driven approach to every lap. Known for consistent pace and clean racecraft, he is building methodically toward statewide competition in the Texas Sprint Racing Series — and has his sights set far beyond karts, with a long-term goal of racing GT3s in IMSA.
Lap times and official results are tracked via Alpha Timing, the benchmark for Houston area kart racing precision. Every tenth counts.
The Path to the Top
Every championship-level career starts with a plan. Alex's path is deliberate — each series building the skills, experience, and credentials needed for the next. The destination: GT3 in IMSA.
Competing in the LO206 Senior class in GHRS, with 2.5 years of real racing and 5 years of sim racing. Every lap builds the racecraft, consistency, and data literacy road racing demands.
Expanding to statewide kart competition in the Texas Sprint Racing Series (TSRS) — a step up in field depth, travel, and competitive intensity. Proving pace against the best kart racers in Texas before the jump to cars.
The jump to road racing in a Spec Miata — one of the most competitive and affordable entry points in American club racing. Renowned for wheel-to-wheel battles and razor-thin margins. A dedicated race trailer is already part of the plan.
Depending on pace and opportunity, Mazda MX-5 Cup provides factory support, national exposure, and a professionally run championship. May be skipped if the right GT4 opportunity presents itself.
GT4 is where the transition to professional-grade machinery begins — customer racing programs, manufacturer relationships, and a direct on-ramp to GT3. The bridge between club racing and the professional ranks.
The destination. GT3-class competition in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship — the pinnacle of American sports car racing. Every kart race, sim session, and road racing mile is building toward this.
